Banbury School Prom Fashion Show
On Thursday 26th January, with help from Banbury School and their fabulous prom committee, we held a fashion show along with Henry's of Banbury to show case our gorgeous collection of 2012 prom wear.
The students modelled dresses by Dessy, Phoenix, Amanda Wyatt and Gino Cerruti and a range of dinner suits and lounge jackets from Henry's extensive suit collection.
In the finale show the models coupled up with matching dresses and ties or cravats.
With the amazing turn out on the night the students managed to raise an impressive £400 from refreshment sales, entry tickets and raffle and tombola tickets, which will go towards their prom in June.
We want to say a massive thank you to The Deputy Head of Banbury School, Elise Yanez, who responded so positively to our initial offer to hold the show and for all the time she spent organising and planning it. A huge thank you to the prom committee students for all their hard work, great ideas and for modelled our dresses and Henrys suits so beautifully! Thank you to Henry's who agreed to show case their suits and for helping with the event's organization.
Last but not least, we would like to thank everyone who attended the event which made it such a success!

'Cakes for All' Treat our Brides!
This month we have teamed up with fabulous local cake maker 'Cakes for All Uk' to create a magical Christmas window display based around the theme of gold and black.
'Cakes for All' has used one of our stunning gold and ivory lace Maggie Sottero gowns as inspiration for the design of the cake. They have recreated the intricate lace detail on the surface of the cake and the little bride on the top wears the actual dress!
Not only have they been so kind as to have made this cake for us, but are also offering our brides 15% off their wedding cake!

Fundraising Party was a Success!
On Thursday 6th October we hosted a fantastic party at our shop in aid of The Horton General Hospital.
Thanks to the generosity of local businesses, clients and friends, over £700 was raised and the fundraising is ongoing.
We would like to raise enough money to buy something special for the hospital and this has been a fantastic start!
It was a wonderful evening with drinks and cocktails provided by Vitis Wines, a very popular chocolate fountain courtesy of Sweet Choice and beautiful music from harpist Karina Bell.
Special thanks to Mayor Alastair Milne-Home who, despite his packed diary, found time to give his support and to draw the raffle prizes generously donated by Rye Hill Golf Club, Glen Mitchell Photography, Travel Counsellors, The Whately Hotel, Mayor Alastair Milne-Home, Indulgence Catering, Henry's, The Secret Garden, Jessica's Cupcakes, Cakes For All, Frame Art, Lyn Sheilds, Mr and Mrs Draper and Hair Concepts.
Beautiful ballons we provided in the shop's October colour theme of peacock feathers by The Ballon Lady.

2011 Charity
The team here at Katherine Allen are delighted to announce that their chosen charity for 2011 is Horton General Hospital (Registered Charity Number 1057295). The hospital is particularly close to owner Kate Allen's heart as it is where her son was born in 2009 and where she is planning to have her second child in July. The team are planning a couple of fantastic events aimed to raise as much money as possible, including a Swishing Party in June! Keep an eye out for details of events which will be posted here on the website, in store and in the local press.
